Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. What this policy covers

School Day Report helps parents understand their child's school-day experiences through short, child-friendly daily reflections. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. Because the information comes from children, we keep it to the minimum needed to provide the service.

2. Information we collect

  • Parent account details — the information you provide when you create an account, such as your name and email address.
  • Child profile basics — the details you choose to add for each child, such as a first name or nickname and grade. We do not ask for full names, photographs, school names, or locations.
  • School-day report responses — the answers and optional notes your child gives about learning, subjects, facilities, safety and care, and personal growth.
  • Waitlist email — if you join the launch waitlist on this website, we store only your email address, and only to send the launch notification.

3. How we use this information

Report responses are used to build the daily summaries and history you see in the app, so your family can look back and talk about the school day. We do not use children's responses for advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles of children.

4. What we never do

  • We do not sell your or your child's information.
  • We do not rank, rate, or compare schools.
  • We do not share report data with schools, teachers, or advertisers.
  • We do not show advertising inside the app.

5. Children's privacy

The app is designed to be used by a child together with, or under the supervision of, a parent. The parent account holder controls each child's profile and can see everything the app stores about that child. If you believe information has been added without your consent, contact us and we will remove it.

6. How we protect information

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information the app stores, and we limit access to it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we encourage you to keep your account credentials private and to contact us promptly if you suspect any misuse.

7. Retention and deletion

Reports are kept while your account is active so you can review history and trends. You may ask us at any time to delete your account and all associated reports by emailing us — we will confirm once deletion is complete.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will note the update on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
